Me, ten years ago

 

2017 has been an incredible year. “A Hole New World” was released, “Conga Master” was released, even on Switch (which also was released last year by the way) and we got the Best Design Award at Tokyo Games Show‘s “Sense of Wonder Night 2017“.

２０１７年はすごい年でした。「A Hole New World」が欧米で発売になって、「Conga Master」もスイッチ版までリリースされて、東京ゲームショウ内イベント「センスオブワンダーナイト2017」で、ベストゲームデザインワードを受賞しました！

2017 ha sido un año, que si mi yo de 2018 hubiese ido a contárselo a mi yo de comienzos del 2017, que no tenía apenas ningún plan en la cabeza, le habría costado digerirlo. Salió “A Hole New World”, salió “Conga Master”, hasta en Switch (¡que se lanzó en marzo!) y nos dieron el Premio a Mejor Diseño en la “Sense of Wonder Night 2017“ del Tokyo Game Show.

This year there are still some exciting announcements related to “A Hole New World” and “Conga Master” left, so stay tuned!

Also in 2017 the development of “Kemono Heroes” and “Superepic” started and we went to several game events like Gamescom and TGS.

今年まだ「A Hole New World」と「Conga Master」と関係ある残っている発表が来ますから、ご期待してください。

２０１７年「Kemono Heroes」と「Superepic」というゲームの開発始めました。そして、色んなゲームイベントに参加しました。「Gamescom」や「東京ゲームショウ」等です。

En este 2018 aún quedan algunas sorpresas por anunciarse relacionadas con “A Hole New World” y “Conga Master“. No penséis que se ha acabado la cosa ahí ;).

En 2017 también comenzó el desarrollo de “Kemono Heroes” y de “Superepic“ y tuve la oportunidad de ir a muchos eventos de videojuegos: freakend (genial), Game Boss (maravilloso), Gamelab (que la Academia nominó a A Hole New World como finalista a “Mejor juego de PC” y “Mejor tecnología”), los Burger Indie Awards (con Conga Master nominado), la fiesta de la piscina… Gamescom y Tokyo Game Show.

２０１７年１１月から東京で働くことになりました！

¡En noviembre de 2017 comencé a trabajar en Tokio!

Kyoto University of Art and Design

This week I went to my University. I study at the Kyoto Institute of Culture and Language (京都文化日本語学校) part of the Kyoto University of Art and Design (京都造形芸術大学). Before a tour around the campus I got some info on my studies and the city of Kyoto.

Esta semana fui por fin a mi Universidad. Estudio en el Kyoto Institute of Culture and Language (京都文化日本語学校) que forma parte de la Kyoto University of Art and Design (京都造形芸術大学). Antes de hacer un tour por el campus nos dieron algo de información sobre el curso y sobre la ciudad de Kyoto.

Kyoto is a city of 1.4 Million people where 10% are students. Although there are buses and some tube / train stations, most people use the bicycle which is more convenient, cheap and fast. There are some rules and laws you are supposed to follow but you can see on the streets people don’t know or care about them. People use the bicycle no matter if it’s sunny, windy or raining, on the streets or the side walks, in the morning, midday or by night. I love it!

Kyoto es una ciudad de 1,4 Millones de habitantes de los cuales el 10% son estudiantes. Aunque hay autobuses y algún que otro tren / metro, la mayoría de la gente usa la bicicleta que es más práctica, económica y rápida. Hay algunas normas y leyes que se supone que debes cumplir pero, como se puede ver por la calle, la gente no las conoce o le da igual. La gente usa la bicicleta sin importar si llueve o hace sol, por las calles o las aceras, por la mañana, por la tarde o de noche. ¡Me encanta!

I feel very safe here on my bicycle because cars don’t go that fast. Depending on the size of the street there are signs limiting the speed on 20, 30, 40 and 50 km/h. Besides Kyoto streets make a big grid where you can go North, South, East and West so it’s great for not getting lost and so you can look for the next paralel street if you don’t like the one you are going through for whatever the reason.

Me siento muy seguro con la bici por aquí porque los coches no van rápido. Dependiendo del tamaño de las calles hay señales de límite de velocidad a 20, 30, 40 o 50 km/h. Además las calles de Kyoto son como una cuadrícula con las que ir norte, sur, este u oeste, lo cual es perfecto para no perderse y para irse por otra paralela si la calle en la que estás no te gusta por lo que sea.

More about Japanese rules and law info included not to download Copyrighted material of the Internet, we have to pay a TV fee much like in the UK… and don’t take late sowers (bummer!).

Otras cosas que nos contaron fue que no se puede descargar material con Copyright de Internet, que hay que pagar una licencia de TV como en UK… y que no nos duchemos tarde (pues vaya :/).
