Mi 2014 empez\u00f3 en Kyoto, rodeado de amigos y afortunadamente as\u00ed segu\u00ed. Lo pas\u00e9 bien con ellos yendo a tomar algo por ah\u00ed, cantando en el karaoke, yendo a ver templos<\/a>, etc. Tuve la suerte de poder disfrutar de eventos como el setsubun<\/a>, el hanami<\/a> o tambi\u00e9n el precioso hanabi<\/a> (o fuegos artificiales) del lago Biwako.<\/p>\n

I started 2014 with friends all around and happily it’s been like that all along. Last year I had good times hanging out with friends going to izakayas, karaokes, visiting temples<\/a> and all. I was lucky enough to enjoy events like setsubun<\/a>, hanami<\/a> or Biwako’s magnificent fireworks<\/a> (hanabi).<\/p>\n

\"2014-04-03<\/a><\/p>\n

En Kyoto fui este a\u00f1o a diversos eventos centrados en videojuegos. Particip\u00e9 en las competiciones de creaci\u00f3n de juegos GGJ2014<\/a> y LD30<\/a>. Fui al BitSummit<\/a>, donde jugu\u00e9 a muchos juegos indie en un ambiente estupendo, super familiar. Y no me olvido del Kyoto Indie Meetup<\/a> que se hac\u00eda todos los meses adem\u00e1s del VITEI Backroom GAME CLUB<\/a> donde me lo pasaba genial tomando unas cervezas con otros devs. mientras jug\u00e1bamos a juegos de ayer y hoy. Adem\u00e1s, ten\u00eda ganas de volver a hacer jueguitos<\/a> as\u00ed que estoy contento de haber vuelto a hacer cosillas. ^__^\/<\/p>\n

I went in Kyoto to lots of videogames related events. I participated in game making contests like GGJ2014<\/a> and LD30<\/a>, I went to BitSummit<\/a> where I had the chance to try some cool indie games surrounded by lots of super nice devs, and I cannot forget mentioning the monthly Kyoto Indie Meetup<\/a> and VITEI Backroom GAME CLUB<\/a> where I had great fun sharing beers with dev friends while playing great new and old games. Can we copy this city dev atmosphere all around the world please? On a side note, I’m happy to be back on making games<\/a>, I was missing it so much.<\/p>\n

\"Kyoto<\/a><\/p>\n

El estudio de japon\u00e9s continu\u00f3 como siempre siendo dif\u00edcil. Hay un d\u00eda cada semestre que en la escuela se elige a una persona por clase para hacer una presentaci\u00f3n<\/a> a toda la escuela de alg\u00fan tema y yo fui el elegido. Habl\u00e9 de reciclaje. Tambi\u00e9n hice el examen de japon\u00e9s “Noken” N2, pero lamentablemente me qued\u00e9 a las puertas de aprobar (hacen falta 90 puntos) sacando un 86.<\/p>\n

Studying Japanese was hard, as always, but I managed to do my first presentation<\/a> in Japanese in front of a big audience about… recycling. There’s so much plastic in Japan. And in July I took the JLPT N2 exam which unfortunately didn’t pass scoring an 86 when 90 is required.<\/p>\n

Y antes de volver a Espa\u00f1a, \u00e9ste a\u00f1o tambi\u00e9n me recorr\u00ed 1000 km. de Jap\u00f3n en bici<\/a>, estuve en Akihabara<\/a>, en Tokyo, ayudando con un interesante documental haciendo las preguntas en japon\u00e9s y traduciendo, y fui a Tailandia<\/a> desde donde ya me volv\u00ed.<\/p>\n

So eventually I returned to Spain, but before that I did a 3 weeks trip around Japan by bike<\/a>, I also went to Akihabara<\/a>, in Tokyo, where I helped a friend on the making of a documentary interviewing people and translating. Very interesting experience. And last, but not least, I went to Thailand<\/a> for a week.<\/p>\n

2015<\/strong><\/p>\n

Ahora estoy aqu\u00ed, pasando un poco de tiempo con los amigos, la familia, y disfrutando de la comida espa\u00f1ola, que no est\u00e1 buena ni nada. No obstante ya va siendo hora de ir buscando un nuevo trabajo. Trabajo que decidir\u00e1 seguro qu\u00e9 tipo de a\u00f1o es este 2015.<\/p>\n

So here I am. Enjoying some time with friends and family and enjoying delicious Spanish food. However, it’s 2015 already and it’s time to find a good job. Depending on that I wonder what kind of year is this 2015 going to be…<\/p>\n
